A picture says a thousand words; a video says a few million more. A good way to gain a sense of what I do, and how I teach is to simply watch a few of the these videos. As you can see we study lots of classical music and technical studies, which gives my students a foundation in fundamental technique. We play duets, which really strengthens their reading abilities. We also play modern and contemporary music by ear, without music, which gives them a lot of different skill sets. Most of the students in these videos had no previous experience with music before. My goal is that by the the time they are done they can pretty much take it wherever they want to go. .
